Walking iris fans, beautiful, tropical hardy zones 7-10, great housepl in Durham, North Carolina For Sale

This beautiful tropical plant is marginally hardy in zone 7. I kept mine in an unheated greenhouse that dipped into the teens and this plant pulled through with just a little tip burn. I was pretty amazed actually. So the flowers last one day but they bloom all summer and each bloom will turn into a small baby plant. YOu can detach the fans when you see little root nodes on the bottom or you can just press them into the soil about a 1/4 inch until it roots and then you can detach the baby from the parent plant. It is just like a spider plant in how it reproduces but it is much more hardy and the blooms are lovely. They are slightly scented. They make excellent houseplants rarely getting any diseases or problems. In the 5 years I have been growing them I have never had to do anything but water them and fertilize in the spring. They truly are trouble free. They do like to dry out between watering and they like to be root bound so no need to plant into larger pots (unless you want to). I divide them rarely. It is middle of february and they are already starting to bloom! You will get one fan per order. some leaves may need to be trimmed to fit them into the box.
